Blogging For Money - What type of blog?

The most common way of earning online would be through blogging your favorite things whether it be your daily life or your expertise, as long as your posts are interesting correct? The keyword here is "Traffic" and "Ads".


For me, I would think two types of blog are most effective to monetize your blog :

• Personal blog
• Niche blog

Well, personal blog, blogging about your interesting daily life, events, your travelings etc A personal blog is the easiest where blogger can mix in various categories of posts which are interesting. If you want to blog about what you do every morning : brushing teeth, make up, what breakfast you've eaten, that would be very... very.... normal, no? I don't think readers would want to read such boring posts and have a high risk of losing readers if you had some. Special posts such as events, occasions, food, traveling, relationships etc would be more entertaining and much more encouraging for visitors when they visit. They would always visit back :)

A niche blog is different from a personal blog where you only blog about a specific category which you had chosen for it, for example, a cooking blog where you only post about recipes and and ways of improving own cooking whichever is related. Another example is a photo blog where only cameras related post or nice photos are blogged, a post on music is out of the question for a photo niche blog. The most important is readers gain something from your blog, thus will keep coming back for more, followed by an increase in traffic. Want more examples? I offer this blog as a money and tips blog, so I would not post any personal life post here, but in my other personal type blog. This blog will only show you money $$$ haha..

Therefore, think carefully which blog type you want to start, personal or niche type. What you like to blog the best will be your key :)
